We've all heard the legends of vampires and werewolves. We flock to the movies
every time a new flick comes out that exposes their terror. Every Halloween we
see people dressed up as them. But we look at them as only that: legends. Blissfully
ignorant to what is really lurking in the shadows and hiding under our beds. Mocking
what we secretly fear and convincing ourselves "There's no such thing as
monsters." But how sure are we?
For as long as anyone can remember in Boston, Massachusetts, there has been
clans of both vampires and werewolves roaming the streets. Most don't know of
their existence. The only people who see them either become them or wouldn't dare
tell. If they did, they'd be sent to a mental institution anyway. Those who know would
much rather spend their lives hunting down the evil beasts of the night. More than
likely, they've lost a loved one due to the monsters. These are the people we call
hunters.
The vampires you watch for entertainment are the biggest misconceptions of all.
These things aren't romantic, they aren't warm and caring. Let's face it: this isn't
fucking Twilight. They won't be your first love in high school. They aren't here
to protect you. Though they do walk amongst the living as if they are one. They
do forge their lives in with those of everyone else. Come nightfall, however,
these seemingly normal people change. They stalk the streets of Boston looking
for prey. Hell, you may be next.
Now the werewolves are another story. For most days out of the month, they're
normal. They don't have any secret agendas about killing people because they
don't have to kill. They're more or less what you've been taught as so called "good
vampires." They're the ones helping the humans, not giving in to their curse. Their
pack sometimes works in conjunction with the hunters to put a stop to the vampires.
Though all is not well on that front. Some werewolves have killed family members
of hunters by accident. It doesn't change anything that they tend to be on the same
side. They still want the wolves dead and gone.
There has been war waging for years amongst the vampires, the hunters, and the
werewolves. Such war is considered infinite. Until now. With a new head vampire,
the nest is stirring. Is a final war being planned? Is an extinction for the wolves
and hunters coming closer? The vampires aren't telling their secrets, but they're
planning an attack. How much longer does either side have?[/font]
