Akiva had been running around as usual on the ship. One officer wanted files on the engine from the day before, so she had to get those, while making sure she jotted down everything that was being told to her today. There were times she hated this job, seeing as she rarely ever got any rest, but if it wasn't for it, she'd still probably be back at the Academy.
She was running through the corridors, down to her room, when her ankle buckled and she fell to the ground. She grit her teeth as she started to get up, and hobble to her room. A fellow ensign saw her and came over, picking her up and starting to carry her to the sick bay.
He set her down before he started to go back out.
"I'm fine, I don't need to be in here. I have to get to my room"
she said as she started to lift off the chair. As she started to put weight on her ankle she grit her teeth. The male ensign turned giving her a look that said "stay." It was a look she had seen her brother Tinem give her before, before he continued out of the room.
Akiva took in a deep breath, exhaling it out as she heard someone new entering the room
